ENVIRONMENT

The environment is a subject of increasing concern to many. We are committed to preserving our bit of it - and encourage others to do the same where possible. This is why we have decided to apply for Go ECO status under the PADI Project AWARE programme. As part of our obligations under this programme, we will be incorporating even more environmental awareness training into both our diver training programmes and our leisure diving activities.

When we say "don't touch", we mean it!

Lack of cash for funding projects is a constant problem. So we have decided to set up our own fund, imaginatively named the "Tioman Environment Fund". Our objective is to create a small pool of cash which we can use to fund small projects in Tioman, mainly with the local school, where we are financing the Environmental Club. Starting in January 2006, we pledge to donate RM 10 per customer into this fund. Additional contributions are, of course, welcome. We will post details of the activities of the fund on this website (see our environment issues page for details) and will keep a public register of all contributions in the Dive Centre.
