Dive Sites

SOUTHERN TIOMAN

To the south of Tioman there are around 10 dive sites, which are done as a two or three dive trip from Tekek, due to the travel distance involved. Brief details of a selection of these sites are shown below.

Pulau Jahat

Depth: 5-25 m; travel time: 20-25 minutes
The name of this dive site means Naughty Island. Large boulders surround this rocky island, creating swim through tunnels, corridors and caves. If you are keen to see sharks or hunting barracuda and jacks, the appropriately named Naughty Island is where you'll see them.

Bahara Rock

Depth: 5-25 m; travel time: 20-25 minutes
Features an underwater garden of spectacular colour and formation. Huge barrel sponges, soft coral gardens, a shallow hard coral area and sheer rock pinacles plus a large number and wide range of fish species. A must for photography enthusiasts.

Batu Sepoy

Depth: 10-25 m; travel time: 20-25 minutes
A plateau reef providing an excellent drift dive site. Huge boulder coral and giant bommies are surrounded by colourful soft corals and sea fans. Turtles can often be seen at this site.

Lanting

Depth: 5-35 m; travel time: 25-30 minutes
A great wall dive for those that like to hunt the 'small stuff' with a shallow coral shelf for entry and exit.
